Product Owner

In a nutshell

We are looking to expand our Product and Technology team and we are looking to hire a Product Owner. Reporting directly to the founder, you’ll act as the lynchpin between our Engineering Team and the wider business, ensuring alignment between the business and technology goals.

We're a Remote First business - work from your home office or our London office - you choose to help you manage a busy lifestyle with flexible working opportunities!

What is Dashly all about?

Our mission is to give homeowners a better deal on their mortgage, getting them off expensive Standard Variable Rates and taking the waste out of the market for distributing mortgage products.

We’ve got an ambitious vision to create a suite of products that together will reshape the mortgage market for the good of all. We’re creating a platform that puts control over their mortgage back in the hands of homeowners, taking the pain out of staying informed and changing the market to drive fairer mortgage deals.

To do that we’ll gather, enrich and leverage data about consumer’s mortgages to offer lenders new, more efficient ways to design and distribute products, and we’re building tools that let advisors truly manage their customer relationships and empower them to improve the service they can offer their clients.

What's the role?

  • Develop and maintain the backlog for your product area(s); ensuring alignment to business goals and our technology strategy

  • Be the champion for your product – produce and present clear communications to ensure buy-in

  • Explain customer and business needs to your Scrum team, and collaborate effectively with them to break down complex pieces of work into smaller items ready for development; work with the team to write user stories and acceptance tests, participate in sprint ceremonies and provide clear direction on sprint goals

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of product iterations, prioritising work and adapting to changing requirements/new learnings by making appropriate trade-offs that deliver maximum value

  • Communicate progress, proactively manage risks & issues, escalating where necessary

  • Work closely with stakeholders across technology, creative, operations and business functions, collaborating effectively with software engineers, architects, digital designers and 3rd party vendors to launch new products/features

  • Create sustainable improvement across the business by following Operational Excellence principles, maximising opportunities for simplicity, synergy and re-use

  • Prioritise, coordinate and communicate the resolution of live issues

  • Coordinate post-launch activities that validate products work as designed and assess value realisation

  • Establish and adapt KPIs for your product area. Understand and report progress against agreed outcomes and related success measures.

  • Use data to drive analysis of new features / iterations and drive prioritisation of future work
